Soybean is the basic material for any kind of industry, such as tofu and tempeh industries. Soybean cultivation will be better if use a sustainable agricultural system, such as using organic fertilizers. This research purpose was to find out the effect of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of local soybean. The research used a complete randomized design with one factor which was a variety of organic fertilizers with 6 treatments. Various fertilizers used in this research consist of inorganic fertilizer, liquid organic, compost, cow manure, rabbit urine, chicken manure, and goat manure. Each test unit consists of 4 pots (plants) and each was repeated 4 times. The results showed that the provision of compost and goat manure increased the growth of local soybean plants, include plant height and the number of leaves at 42 DAP and leaf area at 28 DAP. The application of various organic fertilizers (liquid fertilizer, compost, cow manure, goat manure, and rabbit urine) is unable to increase the yield and yield components of local soybeans.
Background: Shallots are one of the horticultural commodities with low production growth value in Indonesia. Shallots production in Indonesia is limited by the quality of planting material and the climate, especially temperature. The flowering of shallots is a significant obstacle to the regulation of tuber development and bulbils. This study aimed to examine the effect of treatment on the initiation of flowering and the formation of bulbils. Methods: The method used was a complete randomized block design with six treatments: without treatment, vernalization at 5oC, Immersion GA3 100 ppm, Immersion IAA 100 ppm, Immersion NAA 100 ppm, injury to the flower stalk and three replications. Result: The treatment of flowering initiation and the formation of bulbils had a significant effect on the flowering day, the number of flower stalks, the percentage of flowering plants, number weight of bulbils and weight of bulbils. GA3 and vernalization can speed up the appearance of flowers and increase the percentage of flowering plants. GA3 and the opening of the flower stalks can encourage the formation of bulbils with a higher weight and diameter of the tubers. The flowering day had a negative correlation with the number of bulbils formed. Bulbils formation requires a higher content of endogenous GA3. GA3 can initiate the flowering and formation of shallot bulbils.
Kata Kunci: desa, festival, komunitas, online AbstractDelanggu District is one area in Klaten Regency that has national popularity in the rice farming sector. Unfortunately, in modern days, the intangible wealth developed from traditional rice farming activities such as culture, nature, and other elements are gradually disappeared. Therefore through educational approaches, it is essential to re-introduce the local community to increase their awareness of the local potential and create it as an element of sustainable community development. Festival is one of the media that can provide an edutainment approach for the local community. Through the use of the Jinshin no Hana method, the festival was developed by emphasizing the local community as the “main actor”. In its implementation, this method is performed through treasure mapping analysis, stakeholders analysis, idea brainstorming, and ranking via the pairwise method and implementation. In this pandemic situation, the realization was prioritized by an online and limited person in field implementation. Activities performed in this festival divided into 6, (1) preservations, (2) environmental improvement, (3) art performances, (4) SME’s publication, (5) games based on natural materials development, and (6) rice straw crafts workshops. Keywords: community, festival, online, village
This paper exposes the relation between monthly precipitation amount dynamics with the assumably impacted flowering status of productive oil palm and its productivity in the next period. The observation was conducted in Jambi 2016-2017 and Kalimantan in 2017. Simple regression and Pearson’s correlation procedure was applied to calculate the relation between actual flower sex ratio as well as oil palm productivity. Under water scarcity conditions in the dry season, more flower infertility will be exposed in the same period of the dry season with higher response variability. Soil moisture content under the frond pile is more stabilized against evaporation so that the rate of soil demoisturizing at the upper horizon layer is slower than at the circle area and active path area. Estimated oil palm production in a period is determined by the precipitation value 36 months before harvest.
