To solve the problem in pedestrian Mid-Block street crossing, the method of signal coordination control between mid-block street crossing and intersection is researched in this paper. The paper proposes to use “distance-flow rate-time” graph as the tool for building coordination control system model which is for different situations of traffic control. Through alternating the linear optimization model, the system outputs the distribution of signal timing and system operational factors (delays in vehicles and mid-block street crossing). Finally, taking one section on the Taiping North Road in Nanjing as an example, the signal coordination control is carried out. And the results which are delays in the vehicles and mid-block street crossing are compared to those in the current distribution of signal timing.
This study aimed to explore the relationship between factors causing accidents and riding risk perception of electric cyclists, and to assess the contribution of these factors to active involvement in accidents. A self-completion questionnaire survey was carried out among 215 electric cyclists in China. The questionnaire included measures of perception of other road users' driving behaviors, perception of violations, and self-awareness. An evaluation model of riding risk perception was established through factor analysis method. Then correlation and significance analysis was conducted for both level indicators and background variables. This article concluded that the electric cyclist's perception of motorists' driving behaviors, pedestrians' behaviors, and cyclists' riding behaviors would increase as the electric cyclist's age grew. Female's perception of violations was stronger than that of male, while female was weaker than male in self-awareness. Moreover, the riding years, frequency, and experience were positively correlated with riding risk perception. This article can provide guidance for the safety of electric bicycle riding.
With the development of city, the problem of traffic is becoming more and more serious. Developing public transportation has become the key to solving this problem in all countries. Based on the existing public transit network, how to improve the bus operation efficiency, and reduce the residents transit trip cost has become a simple and effective way to develop the public transportation. Bus stop spacing is an important factor affecting passengers' travel time. How to set up bus stop spacing has become the key to reducing passengers' travel time. According to comprehensive traffic survey, theoretical analysis, and summary of urban public transport characteristics, this paper analyzes the impact of bus stop spacing on passenger in-bus time cost and out-bus time cost and establishes in-bus time and out-bus time model. Finally, the paper gets the balance best station spacing by introducing the game theory.
The scope of traffic incidents impacts the performance of traffic incident impact assessment. The inadequate impact scope of the traffic incident will weaken the performance of the traffic incident impact assessment and increase the cost of travel time and payment. This article mainly analyzes road enclosure method, plume model method, and spherical extrapolation method to determine the scope of impact of traffic incident. Advantages and limitations of these three models are presented. Based on these analyses, some improvements are proposed on the basis of the existing situation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
