This report introduces the study results of a Citroen Berlingo converted into an electric car. It presents the energy properties of road and laboratory tests. Initially the structure of the converted car is described, and characteristics of the main car elements are given. Then, the power and energy characteristics of the converted car are obtained and analyzed. On the road, energy consumption at different constant speeds is registered. In addition, at laboratory, the energy consumption during the Special Cycle for Electric Vehicles and Driving Cycle ECE-15 has been obtained. A comparison of the energy consumption of the studied car and serial BEV was done, and it shows good energy efficiency of the converted car during the driving cycles.
Summary. An experimental device and methodology for tire wear investigation are presented. An indirect method for wear evaluating is used. The experimental results in cases of straight motion with and without side slip are obtained. The distribution of wearing on tread pattern wide is evaluated in different running conditions.
In recent years, regarding the influence of the production processes and vehicles on the environment, new technical solutions for reducing air pollutions have been studied and developed. One of the new constructions is fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). The production and running conditions of the vehicles are specific in different countries. Hence, a study of these conditions and fuel production process is needed. In this paper, a study of the FCEV efficiency, at different producing technologies of hydrogen (H2), is carried out. Life cycle assessment (LCA) method is used. A comparison, concerning fuel consumption and emissions as CO2 equivalent for the whole life cycle, is done for FCEV and conventional gasoline vehicle (GV). The influence of the energy mix and technology of production of hydrogen on spent energy and air pollution is analyzed. As the results show, in countries with CO2 emissions over 447 g per 1 kWh electricity, the technology of hydrogen production from natural gas is most effective. Now and in the near future, the ecological and financial advantages, connected to renovation of existing vehicle fleet with FCEV, are not absolutely verified.
Summary. The course stability and the steerability of the two-section wheeled vehicle at high velocities during the lane change manoeuvre are studied in this paper. Mechanicmathematical model is developed, on which base simulation programmes are elaborated. Simulation studies of the course stability at different velocities depend on some constructive and exploitation factors are made by these models. Based on the simulation results an idea for an algorithm and a semi-active control system of the resistance in the pulling-supporting device is proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
