Data are presented illustrating the reliability of the chick-32P method for the assay of pregnant mare serum gonadotrophin (PMS). Experiments with treatments of 1.25 IU PMS to 20.00 IU PMS demonstrated the advantages of this assay method. The testis-32P uptake provided a more sensitive end-point as a measure of gonadotrophin activity than did gonad weight change.
