The aim of the 5 th International e-Conference on Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (5IeCSHSS) was to bring together scholars, administrators and students from different countries, and to discuss theoretical and practical issues in different areas of Humanities and Social Sciences. The e-Conference was organized as a kind of a multidisciplinary forum which provided the appropriate opportunities for inter-disciplinary communications.
The paper analyses the transition of the ideal of women under socialism in Bulgaria from the heroine of labor to the mother-heroine. In its first part it focuses on the elevated hierarchical position of the woman shock worker during the early socialist regime. This ideal of Bulgarian woman is considered in the context of the communist project that tries not only to reduce the elaborate taxonomy of various kind of women to the married hard-working woman, but to equalize and even to merge the figure of the woman with the man in a universal subject of labor that gradually loses the distinguishing features of the sex. In its second part the paper analyses the pro-natal policies of late socialism in Bulgaria. It compares the early communist practices and ideology focused on the ideal figure of woman shock worker with those of the late communist regime oriented towards the favoring of maternity. This accent on the role of woman as a mother changes the emancipatory politics of the regime and ultimately leads to recapturing of femininity of socialist women.
The informational technique intended for extraction of environmental objects upon multiple-spectral images and formation of characterictics describing in a sumarized way the dynamics of their spatial structure is being discussed. It is assumed that the multiple-spectral images make up a single vector field. The procedure of the object extraction starts from segmentation of random vector fields. The observation vector of the same space point leads to a qualitatively better process of marking of picture points belonging to different objects than one scalar observalion. An optimal algorithm is proposed based on vector observations and intended for segmentation of multiplespectral images. For extraction and classification of objects, a model is discussed of generalized structural spatial noise-immune description of multiple-spectral images. Basic principles of a system for the storage and fast retrieval of experimental and processed data are proposed. The results of experimenting with the technology in the domain of investigating natural processes by their satellite multiple-spectral images are presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
