La educación en línea ha tenido un auge significativo y cobra especial relevancia la evaluación de los aprendizajes, del sistema y de la actividad docente para valorar su éxito. Este último ha sido evaluado en la literatura a partir de indicadores de actividad docente que provienen de la modalidad presencial lo cual restringe su alcance. Por ello, se requiere de indicadores de actividad docente que respondan a las características de la modalidad, que aprovechen los datos almacenados en las bases de datos de los entornos digitales utilizados y, simultáneamente que estos puedan ser presentados a los docentes de forma comprensiva para contribuir a su formación respecto a su ejecución. Así, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar el uso de la visualización de indicadores formativos describiendo dos indicadores, tiempo estimado de trabajo plataforma e interacción dialógica en plataforma docente-alumno. Se analizaron los datos de la actividad de 146 docentes y 3,556 alumnos en un periodo de 18 semanas con 18,592,774 registros en plataforma.
Gifted education today faces a significant challenge in reaching equity as well as excellence. This is reflected in the disproportionate underrepresentation of children from Black, Hispanic, Native, and low-income families. This pattern of underrepresentation within programs for students with gifts and talents is pervasive and pernicious and impacts gifted education programming across all 50 states in the United States of America. This article describes the efforts of Milwaukee Public Schools, a large urban school district in Wisconsin, to address the need for both equity and excellence within their gifted education programming. The U~STRARS~PLUS model formed the foundation for changing the culture of the schools from “at risk” to “at potential”. Dedicated leadership and the combination of securing external support, developing internal trust, and building capacity across the district were critical to creating a strength-based focus within the schools. While the journey is not over, the authors hope that others can learn from Milwaukee’s experiences.
Background Emotional and stress-related disorders show high incidence, prevalence, morbidity, and comorbidity rates in Mexico. In recent decades, research findings indicate that cognitive behavioral interventions, from a disorder-specific perspective, are the effective front-line treatment for anxiety and depression care. However, these treatments are not often used. Reasons include limited access and low availability to effective interventions and comorbidity between mental disorders. Emotional deregulation of negative affectivity has been found to be a mediating factor in addressing emotional disorders from a transdiagnostic perspective, aimed at two or more specific disorders. In addition, technological advancement has created alternatives for psychological assistance, highlighting the possibilities offered by technologies since Internet-supported intervention programs have been empirically tested for effectiveness, efficiency and efficacy and can be key to ensuring access to those who are inaccessible. The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, moderators of clinical change and acceptability of a transdiagnostic guided Internet-delivered intervention versus a transdiagnostic self-guided Internet-delivered intervention for emotional, trauma and stress-related disorders, and waiting list in community sample. Methods A three-armed, parallel group, superiority randomized controlled clinical trial with repeated measurements at four times: pretest, posttest, follow-up at 3, 6 and 12 months. Outcomes assessor, participant, care provider and investigator will be blinded. Participants aged 18 to 70 years will be randomly allocated 1:1:1 to one of three study arms: a) Transdiagnostic guided internet-delivered intervention with synchronous assistance, b) Transdiagnostic self-guided internet-delivered intervention, c) Waiting list group. Based on sample size estimation, a minimum of 207 participants (69 in each intervention group) will be included. Discussion The study could contribute to improving the efficacy of transdiagnostic internet-delivered interventions to promote the dissemination of evidence-based treatments and eventually, to decrease the high prevalence of emotional and trauma-related disorders in the Mexican population. Open Educational Resources (OERs) include different web formats, such as audio, video, images and text that can be modified, redistributed and used for learning about a specific topic, however, it became pertinent to create an OER evaluation tool with content validity. The present work gives an account of the content validation process using a 41-criteria rubric, each one with three performance levels, developed from a documentary search on relevant aspects to be included in a learning object. Six expert judges were contacted and decided whether each criterion was essential, useful but not essential or not necessary. Based on this, the Content Validity Reason (CVR) was calculated, obtaining 32 validated criteria. Among some conclusions, it can be mentioned that the validation process of contents allowed the identification of those criteria that require modifications or, if necessary, can be discarded to increase the validity of the heading in its whole.
