In Table 1 of this Communication, data for three catalysts used for comparison purposes were calculated erroneously. Thus, for the catalysts MCM-41, MCM-48, and SBA-15 (last three entries in Table 1), specific rates of 0.62, 0.35, and 0.47 mol CO g Au À1 h À1 , respectively, are obtained at T = 80 8C and a contact time of 23 g cat h mol CO À1. These catalysts are at least 3.3 times less active than the presented gold nanoparticle catalyst at a reaction temperature of 80 8C.
