Resumo:O objetivo deste estudo é apresentar a contribuição da Abordagem das Capacitações para a análise do papel desempenhado pela educação na vida dos indivíduos. A educação não só melhora as condições sociais e econômicas dos indivíduos (liberdade instrumental), mas também desenvolve as habilidades de leitura, escrita, argumentação e compreensão, por exemplo, atuando como liberdade intrínseca (liberdade substantiva). A educação torna o indivíduo livre para exercer o controle sobre sua própria vida e realizar o que considera de valor para si (liberdade positiva). A Abordagem das Capacitações, assim, permite compreender que a educação é fundamental para o desenvolvimento da liberdade humana.Palavras-Chave: Educação; Abordagem das Capacitações; Liberdade humana. The education for perspective of the Capability Approach Abstract:The aim of this study is to present the contribution of the Capability Approach to the analysis of the role played by education in the lives of individuals. Education not only improves the social and economic conditions of individuals (instrumental freedom), but also develops the skills of reading, writing, reasoning and understanding, for example, acting as an intrinsic freedom (substantive freedom). Education makes the free individual to exercise control over your own life and realize what it considers of value to you (positive freedom). The Capability Approach thus enables us to understand that the education is fundamental to the development of human freedom.
