• CT-guided percutaneous cryoablation of osteoid osteoma is safe and effective • Cryoablation allows precise visual control of the aggregated iceball during procedure • Percutaneous cryoablation can be accomplished without general anaesthesia in selected cases • Another advantage of cryoablation is reduction of immediate postprocedural pain • Post-procedure MRI is helpful in the evaluation of technical success.
, a novel coronavirus, also called severe acute respiratory syndrome CoV-2 (SARS-CoV-2), emerged in Wuhan, China, and caused a pandemic disease (COVID-19). Respiratory impairment is the most common symptom in patients with confirmed COVID-19; however, neurologic symptoms were documented in approximately 36%, including headache, disturbed consciousness, and paresthesia. 1 The virus can take different pathways to involve the CNS: in one way through hematogenous or lymphatic route and in another way via the cribriform plate close to the olfactory bulb. Very few studies have shown CNS abnormalities related to COVID-19 on MRI. Herein, we report a case of SARS-CoV-2 brain lesions suggesting an acute demyelination.
The lake of St-Croix is a hydroelectric reservoir that has existed for about ten years. It is a warm, monomictic, oligotrophy lake where bleak were introduced soon after the constructi n of the reservoir.Stomach analyses indicated two kinds of feeding regimes according to the place of capture : in the central and outflow end of the lake, the bleak are essentially plankton feeders but also ingest debris and algae, whereas fish in the inflow end of the lake consume larvae and adults of aquatic insects, and their diet is strongly influenced by the River Verdon. The low density of plankton for most of the year is responsible for the poor growth and low fecundity of the fish (6000 ova per fish with length of 160 mm) in the centre and outflow end of the lake, whereas there is rapid growth and high fecundity (9400 ova per 160 mm) in the inflow end that is enriched by drift food from the River Verdon. Sexual maturity is attained at an age of 3 years by 90 % of both sexes, whatever the site of capture.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
