Intranasal localization of radioactive I-131 was significant in patients receiving a dose of ≥150 mCi. Intranasal localization may partly explain toxicity to nasolacrimal duct and may be a risk factor for subsequent development of nasolacrimal duct obstructions.
An image compression system has been implemented using DSP 56000/96000 family of processors. Block processing is done on image data of 8x8 size to reduce I/O overheads. The coding scheme uses Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) followed by a Llyod-Max quantizer. A multiprocessor system using these processors has also been designed for compression of 512x512 images in real time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
