Urban planning EssayAnalyzing the origins and implementation of the Chilean set-back regulation, this text explores its underlying ideas of city and society -under the assumption that, during the dictatorship, this regulation became a style typical of the local implementation of the neoliberal economy. For while the shape of buildings can be determined by regulations, they can also be dictated by ideologies or theoretical models: in this case, the search for the maximum possible profitability.
