Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about many changes in all sectors of life, especially in the field of education. These changes aim to make the learning process more effective in the pandemic environment. However, it can be challenging, as some students do not give positive responses to these changes, especially those in remote areas. This article aims to identify and report students' perceptions about the effectiveness of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in the remote North Tapanuli region of Indonesia. Methods: In this study, data were obtained using an online survey involving 30 students from three levels of education, namely junior high school, senior high school, and college. The data gathered from the survey were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Results: Results show that online learning is considered less effective by students in remote areas; this happens because communication networks and infrastructure do not adequately support them to follow online learning. Conclusion: Teachers need to evaluate how to teach as well as re-design models and approaches to be applied in learning. This can be achieved by adjusting to the student’s current situation to generate interest and willingness to learn online.

Methods: In this study, data were obtained using an online survey involving 30 students from three levels of education, namely junior high school, senior high school, and college. They are students who the teacher appoints as class administrators; through them, the teacher communicates about everything—learning activities. So compared to his other friends, they know more about the implementation of online learning during the covid 19 pandemic. In addition, schools in remote areas have fewer students than schools in big cities. So we conclude that this research is considered representative with thirty students as the sample. The data gathered from the survey were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of quality management in Pelita Nauli Middle Tapanuli High School. The research used descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The indicators developed are how to implement quality management starting from the planning stage which includes the formulation of the school's vision, mission, goals and work plans. The next stage is the implementation of each program and activity. This implementation stage takes into account the provisions of quality standards covering eight national education standards, namely content standards, process standards, graduate competency standards, educators and education personnel standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, management standards, financing standards, and education assessment standards. Monitoring and evaluation should also be carried out during program implementation. This is done to assess the achievement of the school's vision and mission through eight educational standards instruments. The results showed that the implementation of quality management at SMTK Pelita Nauli Sibolga was still not optimal. The fulfillment of each educational standard instrument is still far from what it should be. Improving the quality of schools is an important concern that must be carried out on an ongoing basis and involves the cooperation of all components in the school. Various efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 have been carried out, which resulted in the formation of a new normal life order for the community. Some of the adjustments include doing all activities from home, always washing hands, wearing a mask, and keeping a distance. New normal is also closely related to Information Technology (IT), where some activities are carried out through information technology assistance. Work From Home (WFH), online learning, online health consultations, and wedding receptions are conducted through a virtual room. However, in fact, there are still many who have not mastered and understood this, so this research explains the role of information technology, which is so important and quite influential in the fields of economy and business, education, health, religion, and the Internet of Things which is the core of current information technology.
Real-time streams are common for nowadays communication for both data and video. Real-time data communication such as chat application and telemetry, as well as real-time video communication such as video call, video conference, or monitoring video are prone to the third party attacked. End to end encryption has been considered as the most realistic solution such as applied by WhatsApp so that the transmitted data is difficult to be revealed by the attacker. Since encryption and decryption processes injected additional delay, the algorithm should be fast enough to avoid inconvenience to users. This paper examines delay distribution for encrypted real-time traffics. The simulation shows that the decryption contributed the most to the end to end delay. Decryption delay is about 4.58 times higher than encryption and transmission delay. Although assessment involves only two links, the complex network has relatively lower than the obtained decryption delay. Meanwhile, encryption contributed only about 0.2% to the overall end to end delay.
