We propose a modified setup of the conventional induction method to investigate the coupling between ferromagnetic bistable wires. The idea is to prevent the saturation by an application of two additional coils near the wire ends in a conventional measurement of the hysteresis loop of the wires. In this way, the fluctuations of the switching field are eliminated. Theoretically, the system is described by phenomenological equations of motion, one equation per wire. The hysteresis loop calculated numerically agrees qualitatively with the experimental results. The comparison allows to evaluate the value of the magnetostatic coupling between the wires.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
