Brake by wire technology is the key technology of automobile braking systems to adapt to automobile intelligence and electrification. This article introduces two brakes by wire technologies: the electro-hydraulic brake system (EHB) and electro-mechanical brake system (EMB), and introduces their working principle, advantages, and disadvantages. Then, this article proposes a new scheme for a multiple-pump drive EHB system, which provides a lightweight and affordable wire-controlled braking system solution for new energy vehicles.
