The object of study is to verify the accuracy of internet survey by comparing database data and internet survey. Internet survey was conducted on August, 2012. Respondents were subscribers of KISTI NDSL. Variables were age, organization as demographic variables, number of use, and period of use as attitude variables. Mismatch rates of age, organization, number of use, and period, are 7.5%, 5%, 92%, and 55% respectively. We could estimate the mismatch rate for age as 3% as a pessimistic point of view, and 1% as an optimistic point of view by detail verification. The mismatch rates of organization are 4.5% as a pessimistic point of view, and 2% as an optimistic point of view. The mismatch rates for the frequency of use, the period of use are very high, because measurement error, problems in memory, and internet attitude, etc. Implication of this study is that data of internet survey could be reliable. Many further researches are needed for verification of internet survey.
The object of study is to propose a method for grouping R, F, and M in RFM model. Our model uses 6 levels using standard normal distribution. First level is upper 2.5% and second level next 13.5%, third level next 34%, fourth level next 34%, fifth level next 13.5%, sixth level next 2.5%. Values are symmetric and limits are clear. We compare proposed model with traditional 5 level model and 10 level model using NDSL data of KISTI. Proposed model divides most clearly the distribution of the RFM function for all cases of weights, because it uses the distribution of customers. Comparison studies of our model with grouping using cluster analysis and studies on weights of RFM model are needed.
The object of study is to verify the distributions of response packets of 3 portal sites such as Naver, Daum, Nate. The period of experiments is from May 19th 2010 to November 7th 2012 and the number of experiments is 4,642. The distributions of Naver, Nate are biomodals. The distribution of Daum has long right tails. 3 distributions are different under 1% significance level using chi-square test and two sample KolmogorovSmirnov test. From proportions and percentiles, Naver has a distribution with the largest values. Nate is the second place, and Daum has a distribution with the smallest values. We must make portal pages light to increase response speed including other technologies. We expect our results to activate competition among portal sites.
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is estimate response quality of three major portal in Korea based on the response time. In addition to response time, the response time by 1Kbyte will be analysed. Methods: Data was collected from July 2010 to November 2013 using Firebug. For comparing averages, ANOVA will be used. For comparing distributions, Chisquare test and Kolmogov-Smirnov test will be used for parametric and non parametric test respectively. Results: For response quality based on response time, Daum gets the first place, Naver the second place, and Nate the third place. But the order of the response time per 1Kbyte is different. The order is Naver, Daum and Nate.
Conclusion:The response quality may be estimated using various factors. Response time is the most important factor. Daum provides the shortest response time. We could say Daum provides the best response quality. But Naver provides the shortest response time per 1Kbyte. From these results, we know reducing packets is very important thing in response time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
