The impact of entrepreneurship activities in a country's development is quite significant. In this study, the concept of female entrepreneurship is tackled by examining the concept of entrepreneurship. Women's entrepreneurship has been an important issue in creating a new perspective on the development of the national economy and social roles. Women entrepreneurs encounter most of their obstacles in financing during the process of establishing their businesses and beyond. The aim of this study is establishing the possibilities of financing for women entrepreneurs in Turkey. It has been concluded that women entrepreneurs evaluate the financing resources according to three basic groups such as institutions supporting financing facilities, direct financing institutions and enterpreneurs' own resources.
The aim of this research was to examine the consumers' preference of paint purchase from the viewpoint of individuals employed in the Turkish paint industry. It was aimed to reach at least 278 individuals with a sampling error of 5%. Within this scope, 350 questionnaire forms were distributed and 330 were received back in the year of 2017. Since 4 of the returned questionnaires had a missing question, study was conducted with 326 questionnaires. The questionnaire form was used as the data collection tool. It included 5 questions about demographic characteristics, 17 questions concerning purchasing and using behaviors, and 29 questions regarding consumers' preferences of paints. Data analysis of the study was done using the SPSS 16 package program. Through the analysis of data, descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard error were presented. In addition, t test and ANOVA test were applied to test the relationship among variables. Based on research findings, the most important factors for the preference of paint purchase in Turkey were determined as the aging of existing wall painting, marriage and cleaning issues. Moreover, it was found out that the experiences of consumers were also effective for the paint purchase decision and preference. Within the scope of the study, it was determined that elder individuals, married and high income people were influenced by many factors in their preference for painting. On the other hand; young, single and low-income individuals were considering less factors in their paint preferences. In addition, it was detected that men were considering properties (features) such as the price and quality more than women in their purchasing preferences. Furthermore, the most important factor affecting the purchasing choice of consumers was determined as previous knowledge and experience. It was also found out that consumers did not frequently conduct market research before choosing the paint. Educational status of individuals was not an effective factor concerning paint preferences.
Housing Finance system has provided funds to households and organizations for buying their homes and premises. There are different type of housing finance systems which are applied by different countries. Housing finance systems can be more efficient, if private sector and public sector work together and harmoniously. Housing Finance system has made considerable progress in Turkey in the last 20 years. Before housing finance system was developed in Turkey, people could have bought houses by combining their retirement allowances and savings. Another method for financing their house, people could have borrowed from relatives or close friends along with their own savings. The Mass Housing Law (Law No: 2985) entered into force in 1984.The main target of the law, to find a solution of the housing problem in Turkey. Law also determines the tasks of the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ). After 2000’s Turkish Banks began to extend long term housing loans, but there was not mortgage system. Due to inadequate saving and income levels, it was not easy to use banking finance system for the low and middle income groups. In 2007, new legal regulations come into force, which is called Mortgage Law, for improving legal framework for borrowers and lenders in the primary markets and also made regulations for integrating primary mortgage market to the capital markets. In our paper, the finance methods and improvements in the housing finance in Turkey have been analyzed evaluating legal regulations and also the methods which is used by banks and other related institutions.
Ülkelerin ekonomik kalkınmasında ulusal kalkınma politikaların yanı sıra bölgesel veya yerel kalkınma politikaları ve stratejileri etkili olmaktadır. Bölgelerin kapasitelerinin ortaya çıkarılarak, bu kapasitelerle uyumlu uygulanacak model ve araçlarla bölgesel olarak yaratılan değerler arttırılabilmektedir. Bu değerlerin etkinliğinin arttırılması ile hem bölgelerin kalkınmasına hem de ulusal ekonomiye önemli katkılar sağlanabilmektedir. Çalışmamızda öncelikle ekonomik büyüme, kalkınma ve bölgesel kalkınmaya ilişkin teoriler özetlenmiştir. Daha sonra Gönen ilçesinin demografik yapısı ve genel ekonomik faaliyetleri hakkında bilgilendirme yapılmıştır. Balıkesir ili Gönen ilçesi tarım, hayvancılık, sanayi, turizm ve el sanatları üretimi ile ekonomik değer yaratan bir yöremizdir. İlçemizin bu alanlarda yarattığı ekonomik değerin ne kadar olduğu, yıllar itibarıyla nasıl değişiklikler gösterdiği çalışmamızın ana eksenini oluşturmaktadır. Gönen'de yaratılan ekonomik değerin ne kadarının hangi ekonomik faaliyet alanından geldiği ve yıllar itibarıyla bu yapıda değişiklik olup olmadığı analiz edilmektedir. Ekonomik değer yaratan sektörlerin fiziksel anlamda kapasiteleri ve ürettikleri ekonomik değerler ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Yıllar itibarıyla üretim miktarları alınmış, bu miktarların parasal değerleri hesaplanarak yıllar itibarıyla yaratılan toplam ekonomik değerlere ulaşılmıştır. Daha sonra bu alanlarda önümüzdeki yıllarda ortaya çıkabilecek gelişmelerin neler olabileceği değerlendirilmiştir. İlçemizde var olan potansiyelin nasıl arttırılabileceği, yapılabilecek iyileştirmelerin neler olabileceği, uygulanabilecek yeni modellerle hangi alanlarda gelişim sağlanabileceğine ilişkin değerlendirme ve öneriler oluşturulmuştur. Bu değerlendirme ve öneriler bölgesel paydaşlarla, bölgede yaşayan, bölgede çalışan kişi, kurum ve şirketlerle ortak yapılan çalışmalar sonucu oluşturulmuştur. Bu nedenle gerçekçi ve karar vericilere, politika uygulayıcılara yol gösterici nitelik taşımaktadır. Çalışmamızda Balıkesir ili Gönen ilçesinin ekonomik kapasitesinin, değerlerinin neler olduğu ve bu ekonomik değerlerin daha verimli kullanılarak bölgenin kalkınmasına katkısının nasıl arttırılacağı incelenmektedir. Analiz ve değerlendirmelerde Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu, Gönen İlçe Tarım Müdürlüğü, Gönen Ticaret Odası, Türkiye Ziraat Odaları Birliği, Bilim Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı Balıkesir İl Müdürlüğü verileri kullanılmıştır. Gönen bölgesine özgü olarak yapılan bu çalışmanın bölgenin orta vadeli büyüme ve kalkınmasına katkı yapması dileğimiz ve beklentimizdir. Bundan sonrasında üniversitelerle yapılacak işbirlikleri ile Gönen ve diğer yöreler için bölge kalkınmasına ivme kazandırılması yönünde çabaların sürdürülmesi faydalı olacaktır.
