In this article we have compared the rankings of Turkish Universities obtained by The Scientific And Technological Research Council of Turkey's (TUBITAK) Entrepreneur and Innovative University Index (EIUI) with rankings obtained by Sentiment Analysis(SA) of the related university's students or graduate student's social media messages. SA is a method for automatically mining the attitude of the author (or more generally the source) about a thought, behaviour, service or product. For this case, we have conducted SA in the context of Entrepreneurship and Innovativeness. We used random related university's official twitter account's followers to form a database for user names. Selection of followers and number of followers for university was made randomly. We have used 13.007 tweets that contain "entrepreneur" keyword and 14.579 tweets that contain "Innovation" keyword to identify the relevant class and #OezgecanAslan and #SevgiNeydi trend topic's tweets for irrelevant class and with this way we generate a lexicon about entrepreneurship and innovation for SA. In this generation phase we have used Support Vector Machines and Naive Bayes Classifier data mining algorithms. We have performed SA on the approximately 1.353.803 tweets of 57.321 followers of 50 universities of interested and we obtain a new ranking of these. Finally we have conducted statistical tests for compatibility of these two university rankings.
Entrepreneurs face numerous challenges and experience conflicts in their daily lives. However, it is clear that female entrepreneurs have more conflicts than male ones due to society's perception of women and various expectations from them, and consequently, these conflicts affect women's investment decisions. In this study, especially conflict levels of female entrepreneurs at work and in family have been investigated. Also, this study dwells upon how the roles that female entrepreneurs play in family and at work shape their investment plans and how the conflicts they experience affect their investment decisions. In this study, a total of 348 face-to-face interviews with female entrepreneurs, from the four major cities of the most economically developed region of Turkey, have been conducted, and various questions about demographic characteristics, business characteristics, entrepreneurship densities, business, and family conflict situations and investment plans have been asked. The obtained data has been analyzed and classified via rough set theory. The correlative relationship between conflict and investment decision has also been demonstrated. This paper contributes to the extant literature-in which there is an essential gap relating to female entrepreneurs in Turkey-by describing their status, conflict levels and investment decisions with quantitative data. The study presents a new perspective on the classification of female entrepreneurs with a rough set theory which is considered to be superior to other classification methods in terms of classifying objects with the same characteristics according to different decision situations.
This study aims to make the most appropriate decision at the procurement decision stage by comparing the technical features of UAV systems currently used and those to be used in the military field. For this purpose, the technical data of UAV systems, which are suitable for military use, produced by three domestic and five foreign companies, and are in the production phase, were collected. These collected data were analysed under the following headings: [At First, three criteria (Airtime, Maximum Altitude, and Payload Capacity) and TOPSIS and Fuzzy TOPSIS analysis are implemented. Then two more criteria (Cruise Speed and Maximum Speed) were added to these three criteria. Only TOPSIS analysis was performed.] separated and sorted by TOPSIS and the Fuzzy TOPSIS Method. In line with the findings, the Yabhon United 40 and Predator C Avenger models took first place in the TOPSIS three and five criteria rankings, respectively. It was determined that the Heron TP model took first place in the ranking with fuzzy TOPSIS.
