The transition metal phosphates (TMPO4, M = Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) are synthesized via microwave metathesis synthesis (MMS) with by-product sodium chloride which drives the MMS reaction to forward direction by dint of high lattice energy. The synthesis procedure is achieved at 850 W powers in a domestic microwave oven for a short time as 10 minutes. The structural, morphological and thermal properties of CrPO4, MnPO4, FePO4, CoPO4, NiPO4 and CuPO4 powders are dissolved by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray (EDS) analysis and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The unit cell parameters and crystal systems of the products are determined by Rietveld refinement method via powder X-ray diffraction data. All the samples with orthorhombic crystal system have same homogeneity of distorted circular micron size particles and relatively higher thermal stability than the other metal phosphates.
Anode materials with high storage capacity and high power density attract considerable interest because of recent advances in Li-ion battery used electronic devices. Vanadium based oxides are the one possible group. LiV2O5 was synthesized by hydrothermal method at 3 days (72 hours) and 180 ºC. Structural characterization was performed by powder X-ray diffractometer and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Morphology was scanned by scanning electron microscopy with energy disperse X-ray analysis. The first time synthesized material is crstallisized in orthorombic system with unit cell parameters a = 11.31, b = 9.552, c = 3.585 Ã… and space group Pmn21 (31).Â
Xanthine Oxidase (XO) is related with different diseases such as vascular, gout, nephropathy and renal stone diseases that are relevant to high uric acid levels and oxidative stress. Some common natural inhibitors of xanthine oxidase are known as rosmarinic acid and apigenin. With this study, we aimed to determine inhibitory effects of originally synthesized new generation transition metal vanadates on Xanthine Oxidase (XO) from bovine milk. Because, Xanthine oxidase inhibitors are typically used in the treatment of gout and nephropathy and renal stone diseases linked to hyperuricaemia. We found considerable IC50 constants for inhibition of XO. Among the synthesized compounds, Cu"’V"’O was found to be the most active (IC50 = 7.119 mM) for inhibition of XO.
Abstract:In this research, Taguchi method was applied to determine optimum parameters of doping process of cerium vanadate with Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba ions. Percentage and type of doping ions are used as parameters in optimization process applied as orthogonal array to decrease the number of experiments. The calculated unit cell volume by Rietveld Refinement analysis via X-ray diffraction data (XRD) were used to confirm the formation of doped cerium vanadates. ANOVA method was applied to determine the effectiveness of the parameters.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
