This study was conducted to determine the effect of empathy to pro-social behaviour in repeated share information or retweet social activities at social network twitter. The methods was used in this research is quantitative approach. Sampling techniques are using nonprobability sampling technique with kind incidental sampling techniques. The sample was used in this study amounted to 138. Data analysis techniques are use to test the hypothesis is a simple regression test which using SPSS version 16.00. Based on the counting result value F is 185.409 with value of significance is 0.000. The regression similarity of Y= 24.094 + 0.591X and great influence (R Square) a variable empathy to prososial behavior is 0.577, which means that empathy affect the behavior of prososial as much as 57.7% and the rest 42.3% is affected by another factors. Therefore, Ho denied and Ha accepted so it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence of empathy to the behavior of prososial in sharing information or social activity in a retweet social networking twitter. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai lingkungan dan sikap ramah lingkungan di Jakarta yang ada di pemukiman kumuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 196 subjek penelitian yang bermukim di daerah kumuh (slum area) di Jakarta dengan menggunakan Metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey dan menggunakan uji analisis statistik dengan chi-square untuk mengetahui bagaimana perbedaan frekuensi nilai lingkungan dan sikap ramah lingkungan serta hubungan diantara kedua variabel tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan frekuensi berdasarkan nilai lingkungan ekosentrik,antroposentrik, dan apatis yang signifikan dengan sikap ramah lingkungan positif dan negatif. Yang berarti bahwa nilai-nilai (value) lingkungan memberikan perbedaan dalam sikap masyarakat kumuh jakarta terhadap sikap ramah lingkungan. The result was showed that there is significant differences based on ecocentric, anthropocentric and apathetic values of pro-environmental attitude toward pro-environmental behavior at Jakarta's slum area.
The speed of news is no longer limited. Distance and time limits do not become an obstacle in the rate of news spread. Even though the access to the information, nowadays is more accessible and fast, but there are also many another adverse offer, such as spreading rumors and fake news. Individual engagement with high intensity and have personal meaning with their social media platform could meet their need to contribute, retrieve and explore the news content and also have tendencies to spread the fake news. Previous studies have shown that personality traits play a significant role in human behavior. This study aims to investigate the roles of personality in engagement and spreading fake news behavior. Furthermore, The purpose of this study is to offer a theoretical and empirical background to explain the psychological aspects of the issue of spreading the fake news. This study conceptualizes false news as a distorted signal inconsistent with the truth. Result of this study show that personality traits with extraversion characteristic moderate personal engagement to intention for spread fake news exposures.
This research aims to determine the effect of disaster risk perception on disaster preparedness for families on the coast of Sumur district, Pandeglang, Banten. Participants in this research are families who live in coastal area consisting of father or mother in each family. Total respondents were 174 people, all of them were victims of Banten tsunami. The measuring tool used in this research is the disaster risk perception that will be measured using the Risk Perception Belief for Disaster measurement tool that was used in the National Health Survey Risk Perception (NSHRP) in 2012 and further developed by Yong (2017). Disaster preparedness will be measured using instruments based on the grievances that have been put forward by Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and Unesco regarding disaster preparedness. This research approach is a quantitative approach using the test of influence. The results found that there is positive influence between disaster risk perception on disaster preparedness on families in the coastal Sumur district (F = 28.23; p = 0.000 <0.05). The effect of Disaster Risk Perception on Disaster Preparedness is 14.1%. There is a significant influence between the disaster risk perception to disaster preparedness on the family in the coast of Sumur District, Pandeglang. If the disaster risk perception is high, the disaster preparedness will also increase. The implications of the results of this research are research subjects who have a high disaster risk perception, meaning that the community has the value of trust that the place they live has a risk of natural disasters and finally feels they have high responsibility, control, acceptance and response to disaster risk, so that this will encourage the community to be able to carry out disaster preparedness.
