For the reasons of prestressing and other factors, the lateral bending would appear on the post-tensioned concrete T-beam during the pre-tensioning. In this paper, a simulation model is established as an example of the edge beam of 40-m T-beam which is widely used. According to the stress and displacement of main girder under different orthogonal force, the effects of lateral bending on the main girder are analyzed. Finally, some guidelines are suggested.

Based on the dynamic characteristics analysis results of a precise three-dimensional finite element model, the earthquake responses of the bridge are analyzed in this paper. The influences of cable local modes and stabilizing cables on the seismic response are investigated by using different mode combinations and different models. It is found that the influence of cable local modes is negligible on the side towers while significant and not negligible on the main tower; the influence of the stabilizing cables is significant and not negligible on side towers, while minor and negligible on the main tower. As for the deck displacements, the influence of cable local modes is minor and negligible, while that of longitudinal stabilizing cables is significant and not negligible.
Abstract:The static behavior of a reinforced concrete trough railway bridge is analyzed by finite element method. The influences of load distribution fashion, supporting width of the bearings and the additional support beneath the girder are investigated; and the spatial effect of the stress distribution is studied as well. To confirm the analysis accuracy, the results are calibrated with the field load test results. It is found that the influence of load distribution fashion is minor and negligible, while those of supporting width and additional support are not negligible; and the spatial effect is significant.
This paper introduced construction method for deep pile of Zishui bridge through karst region and the checking results of the pile bearing capacity. Firstly, main structure of Zishui bridge was simply introduced. Secondly, according to the special geological conditions, construction methods for bored piles in water and drilling platform were described. The discussion focused on the problem of boring and grouting in karst foundation and their solutions. Finally, to ensure that the pile capacity can meet the design requirements, load transfer method was used on the part of pile foundation to calculate the bearing capacity. Results showed that pile bearing capacity meet the requirements, and the feasibility and correctness of construction method of Zishui bridge was also verified,which provides references for the design and construction of the same civil engineering.
