Nonpoint sources of pollution, primarily from agricultural sources, are a major cause of water quality impairment in China. Yet approaches for addressing this issue remain underexplored. This article first introduces the current status of China’s agricultural nonpoint sources pollution.The article then discusses some practical approaches for agricultural nonpoint sources pollution control in terms of China’s current economic development levels and conditions.The article concludes that voluntary programs, command and control programs and economic incentive instruments are feasiable for addressing agricultural nonpoint sources pollution, if such approaches are designed and implemented well.
Nanofiltration membrane was prepared by static layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembly of poly (ethyleneimine) (PEI) and poly (sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) on the modified poly-arcylonitrile ultra-filtration membrane. Study on self-assembly of polyelectrolyte membranes with changing surface charges and wettability, rejection properties of nanofiltration membrane in different conditions and pH with respect to heavy metal ions, namely Ni2+and Cd2+were investigated. The results show that the PEI/PSS membrane composed of 4 bilayers at operating pressure 0.4MPa, rejection of PAN-PEI/PSS nanofiltration membrane towards these 2 kind of heavy metal ions reached no less than 90%.
It introduced the depth-sensing indentation principle,characteristics,and the major applications and advantages in micromechanical properties and damage research. It focused on analyzing the typical load-depth test curve from the material depth-sensing indentation experiment, then talked about how the curve was used in the reverse calculation process for material mechanics properties.It can provide the technology route reference for the other metal mechanical properties research in the future.
The silica-based mesoporous materials were synthesized under normal atmospheric with Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) as surfactant, TEOS as silica source and hydrochloric acid as activator. The pore sizes distribution of mesoporous materials were adjusted by organic assistant reagent TMB(1,3,5-three toluol).The materials after and before TMB addition were characterized through XRD and IR. The results showed that the materials have regular hexagonal mesoporous structure. The structure is more regular and pore size is more bigger after TMB added.
