This study aims to improve the quality of learning by applying Edmodo's application at biodiversity class material of class 10 students in increasing student learning interest during Covid-19 period. Based on observations at SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi province, Indonesia it was known that students' interest in learning biology was still low. This was due to the lack of availability of existing facilities and the learning process that is still through lectures and questions and answers. Students were less involved in exploring information about biological concepts causing low student interest in learning. The method used was Classroom Action Research. The research procedure was in the form of a cycle to know the improvement of student interest. Each cycle consists of four stages, including Planning, Acting, Observation, and Reflection. Data Collection Techniques was conducted through Questionnaire, Observation, and Documentation. This data collection used an instrument in the form of an Online Learning Interest Questionnaire and Observation Sheet conducted online. This study showed that the results of observations of student interest in online learning obtained in cycle II received criteria of very high at 96%. While the results of student interest in online learning questionnaire obtained with high criteria that was 76.74%. Based on the research done, it can be concluded that the application of Edmodo media in online learning increases student interest in biodiversity material in science class X-2 SHS 3 Kerinci regency in Jambi, Indonesia.
Abstract. This study aims to increase students' interest in learning through the application of Edmodo E-Learning with PBL learning models during the Covid-19 pandemic. In a preliminary study conducted to MAN 2 students in Jambi City who conducted learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic stated that their interest in learning was low. This happens because the teacher only gives assignments and there is no learning process that connects directly between the teacher and students through a learning activity and the use of Edmodo platform is still rarely used. Data was collected using a google form containing a questionnaire about responses to descriptions of activities using edmodo to class XI students. The results of increasing student interest based on several indicators observed were happy with an average score of 3.18 including the good category, curiosity 3.38 the excellent category, the attention of 3.30 the excellent category, and the interest of the 3,015 good category. Based on research data it is known that the application of Problem Based Learning during learning using ed-modo e-learning can increase student interest in learning.

Teaching and learning activities are required online to reduce the spread of the corona virus. All subjects are transferred to online media, including biology which in its teaching requires practicum for student understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic for high school/ equivalent students in Muaro Jambi Regency. This study uses a quantitative model with a survey method. In this study, researchers only describe problems of learning and the media used for online learning. The implementation is done by collecting data, managing, and presenting the data objectively. In the research conducted, 36.8% of students answered in doubt and 27.3% did not agree in understanding biological material. This shows that the effectiveness of learning biology during the Covid-19 period is still not effective, because of the obstacles experienced by students, namely the media or learning methods provided by educators do not attract students' interest, learning is boring, and some students do not have adequate facilities for online learning. Giving a lot of assignments makes it difficult for students to understand biology learning.
