Modulated signals used in telecommunication are cyclostationary. This property can be exploited to improve the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation performance. In this work, we propose an improved cyclic beamforming algorithm exploiting cyclostationarity. The proposed method exploits the information of both cyclic correlation matrix and cyclic conjugate correlation matrix with different cyclic frequencies. Compared with the existing methods, the simulation results show that proposed method improves substantially the signal selectivity; also it allows an increase in resolution power.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
