The kinetics of reaction between cyclohexanone (0"05 mol) and o-cresol (0-1 tool) in the presence of varying mixtures of hydrochloric acid and acetic acid (2:1 V/V) were determined at four different temperatures: 40 ~ 50 ~ 60 ~ and 70~ The product was purified from benzene and methanol (m.p. 186~ The optimum reaction temperaturr catalyst concentration and time have been determined for obtaining yields greater than 80%.
The kinetics of bromination of b/sphenol-C and bisphenol-S in glacial acetic acid were determined at various temperatures and substrate concentrations. Various kinetic parameters are determined to support reaction mechanism.
ChemInform is a weekly Abstracting Service, delivering concise information at a glance that was extracted from about 100 leading journals. To access a ChemInform Abstract of an article which was published elsewhere, please select a “Full Text” option. The original article is trackable via the “References” option.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
