The production of a granular anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate for use in phosphors has been investigated by precipitation from homogeneous solution by means of urea hydrolysis. The course of the reaction has been investigated under a wide variety of conditions, and conditions for the precipitation of a suitable material have been established.
