The article presents the results of empirical studies of correlation of culture and innovations. Sociocultural factors of innovative development have been revealed. The present research has established the dual nature of innovations that finds itself in a symbiosis of an innovation and a creativity product. This fact allows us to view this phenomenon as a result of interaction of the economic and sociocultural spheres of society's life activity: an innovative impulse arises from a person's desire to gain an economic benefit, on the one hand, and from a desire to reach the originality that is specified by traditions of a certain culture, on the other hand. Consequently, innovative activity depends directly on socio-cultural values that determine human dispositions, habits and motivations.Sh. Schwartz's calculation of value indices allowed us to reveal the human value priorities in twentyone countries of Europe in terms of their influence on person's innovative dispositions, using the data body of International comparison project "European Social Survey" (2012)(2013)(2014)(2015)(2016). It was shown that in the countries with dominant "Openness to Changes" values, inventiveness and innovativeness are more pronounced if compared to the countries where "Conservatism" values prevail. There has been demonstrated the special importance for innovative development of "Self-Transcendence" values that facilitate the formation of an environment favourable for implementing the institutional innovations. The research has proved that average Ukrainians have no value disposition to innovations. This fact creates a cultural barrier on the way of Ukraine's innovative development and requires governmental impact on these processes. The authors have taken into account the global modern development tendencies that manifest themselves in strengthening the countries' interdependency, particularly, in more rapid cultural convergence, gradual unification of values, with cultural diversity preserved. With this in mind, to intensify the innovative activity in Ukraine, the authors suggested a strategy of Ukraine's deeper integration into the world science and technology space as an equal partner as well as searching for its niche in a constantly developing world segment of creative and innovative activity, with cultural diversity being a powerful source of development. Keywords: innovations, innovative activity, cross-cultural analysis of innovations, person's innovative dispositions, socio-cultural innovation factors, Schwartz's value orientations for Ukraine, cultural barriers of innovative development
Purpose. The identification of the main informal institutions of Ukrainian society by identifying the social and cultural values which make their core, as well as revealing of the specifics of their impact on the country's social and economic development. methodology. The conceptual approaches to institutional economic theory served as the methodological basis of the research. This allowed considering informal institutions of society as organizations, which have social and cul tural values in its basis. They are structurally represented by valuable orientations and social and psychological orien tations. The estimation of value orientations was based on Sh. Schwartz's methodology, while social, psychological orientations were discovered according to O. Potemkina's method, and they were assessed by using the weighted arithmetic mean. The comparison of valuable orientations and social and psychological orientations was carried out on the basis of comparative analysis. Findings. It is shown that social and economic development of society depends on people's economic activities in the institutional environment, which is formed by formal and informal institutions. In order to ensure the progress of society, it is important to choose such formal institutions that do not contradict the informal norms and rules which have been established in society under the influence of culture during the historical period of development. It is dem onstrated that at the heart of any social institution there are social and cultural values which describe the general strategies of human activities and acquire specific forms of manifestation due to value orientations and social and psychological orientations. The theoretical basis and methodology of evaluation of valuable orientations and social and psychological directions are presented. On the basis of the data of the European Social Survey, Charles Schwartz's indexes of valuable orientations were calculated .They were compared with the indices of social and psychological orientations obtained on the basis of empirical studies, conducted by the authors on a sample of 2,058 Ukrainians. A comparative analysis of valuable orientations and social and psychological orientations of the Ukrainians and Rus sians is carried out. The influence of informal institutions on the character of social and economic development of these countries is shown. Originality. The structural organization of the informal institute is revealed as a dynamic construct, formed of social and cultural values, valuable orientations and social and psychological orientations makes the scientific novelty of current study. A combination of the research of the informal social institutions according to S. Schwartz and O. Po temkina's methods, which reveals, both, the orientation of individual actions and the way of achieving the goal in common direction, becomes a new theoretical and methodological approach. Practical value. Scientific ideas about the dependence of society's social and economic development on the social and cul...
Purpose. To determine current tendencies of the effect of science on economic growth of certain countries in the world and to for mulate theoretical and methodological approaches to their explanation in the context of social and economic development of the society.Methodology. The research applies the totality of general scientific and specific methods and approaches of empiric and theo retical knowledge, i.e.: methods of analysis and synthesis -to study sources and tendencies of the modern economic growth; grouping and classification -while forming sampling of the countries to analyze the effect of science on their development; method of mathematical statistics -for quantitative evaluation of the effect of science and innovations on economic growth of certain countries in the world; abstracting -to identify the reasons of inconformity of theoretical conclusions of the economic growth models to the modern tendencies of social and economic growth.findings. Effect of the factors connected with the scientific and technical progress on economic growth has been tested em pirically. Basing on the Integral Science Index developed by the authors, parameters of the science effect on the economic growth of certain countries in the world have been evaluated quantitatively. Qualitative assessment of the connection between the men tioned Index and GDP per capita in different groups of countries is represented with the help of a sampling coefficient of correla tion characterizing the degree of closeness of linear correlation dependence. It has been determined that there is no direct connec tion between the science and economic growth; the paradox is explained in detail.originality. Inconsistencies of the key conclusions of the models of economic growth with current tendencies of social and economic development have been identified. A statement concerning the uniqueness of the effect of science on the development of countries has been disproved. A necessity of going beyond the economic and mathematical set of tools, while studying eco nomic development, in favour of complexity and multidisciplinarity has been proved.Practical value. The determined variability of the effect of science on the economic growth approves the understanding of ambiguousness and nonlinearity of the process; thus, it requires constant empiric tests of the available dependences and searching for new influences depending on the stage of civilization process which different countries experience. All that helps substantiate the fundamentals of economic policy of national governments in their favouring social and economic development by selecting more effective leverages.

To develop a pricing model for R&D products of industrial enterprises that would meet the changing conditions of the market environment.Methodology. The research was based on a set of methods, including comparative analysis, which was used to compare existing approaches to pricing for R&D products; Mamdani algorithm of fuzzy set theory to develop a methodology for forming the price of R&D products taking into account their consumer value and market receptivity; matrix method -to determine the level of the average market price for R&D products.findings. The existing methodological approaches to pricing in the market of R&D products of industrial enterprises are ana lyzed; their advantages and limitations are highlighted. A methodology for pricing R&D products has been developed which allows us to take into account their consumer value and market receptivity. The matrix method for determining the level of the average market price for R&D product is explained. Based on the authors' approach, comparison of the prices of R&D products with the prices of their market counterparts was conducted. The probability level of the obtained results is estimated using the example of R&D products of LLC "Diada Group".originality. A model of pricing for R&D products is developed. It is based on the methodology of forming the price of R&D product taking into account its consumer value and market receptivity, the matrix method for forming the average market price of R&D products, and the approach to comparing the obtained showings with the prices of market analogs. In contrast to the well known ones, such a comprehensive approach allows us to achieve a higher level of price accuracy, since a set of heterogeneous features of factors influencing the price of R&D product is taken into account (by developing a correction factor based on the Mamdani algorithm of fuzzy set theory). The approach to the formation of features of factors influencing the price of R&D prod uct makes it possible to maneuver the composition of R&D product features.Practical value. The authors' pricing model for R&D products was tested at LLC "Diada Group" and demonstrated high pos sibilities to improve the accuracy of price formation in the reality of changing market. Being a fairly flexible pricing tool, this model can be applied in the practical activities of enterprises in various sectors of the economy.
