Summary.A pretreatment of 150 ~Ci 3H-thymidine was used on 25 immunological identical rats (donors). In 25 recipients the infrarenal aorta had been replaced by a vascular prosthesis at different intervals beforehand. Arteriovenous cross-transfusion was installed in pairs of donor and recipient animals mixing the blood volumes of both. Labelled monocytes were found in the prosthetic wall as well as in the anastomotic area and as lining cells at the inner surface of the graft. These data indicate the hematogenic origin of new endothelial cells by transformation of blood monocytes.

Research on the Effect of the Carcinogen N-Methyl-N'-Nitro-N-Nitrosoguanidin (MNNG) on Rat Stomachs after SPV with and without PyloroplastySummary. The stomachs of 90 rats in three groups (control, SPV, SPV + Pypl.) were x-rayed and submitted to macroscopical and histological examination 30 weeks after administration of the carcinogen was started. No macroscopical and histological alterations were observed in the control group and in the group SPV + Pypl. Of the SPV group without pyloroplasty, 89 % showed stasis stomachs, 39 % had stasis ulcers, and 28 % had stasis ulcers with adenomatous hyperplasia and cell dysplasia; SPV without pyloroplasty on rat leads to retention. Stasis ulcers and dysplasia can be avoided by combining SPV with pyloroplasty.Key words: Carcinoma -SPV -Pyloroplasty -Rats.Zusammenfassong. Schliisselwiirter: Carcinom -SPV -Pyloroplastik -Ratten.
