the past 20 years in the Duesseldorf University Hospital were separated according, sex, localization, histology and therapy. We examined if delay of the operation caused by patient or physician had any influence on the survival chance. This could not be statistically confirmed, i.e., it does not matter if the preoperative case history of an operable case is long or short. Delay of the operation will only influence the percentage of operability.
