The purpose of this study was to develop a curriculum model which included local primacy based on the principles of social reconstruction curriculum in West Nusa Tenggara. This study was a developmental research which adopted and modified Borg & Gall developmental model (1983) with the following stages: (1) needs analysis; (2) model development; and (3) model validation. The results of needs analysis indicated that coral reef materials were the main priority of local primacy integrated into the secondary school curriculum in West Nusa Tenggara. The principles of social reconstruction curriculum were implemented in three components as the result of model design, i.e. learning objectives, learning methods (organizational learning strategies, learning delivery strategies, and learning management strategies), and learning results or assessment. The product design model was embraced in instructional tools consisting of syllabus, topic formulation and basic competence, comic learning materials, and assessment instruments. Based on the assessment qualifications on the instructional tools validation test which included three aspects, namely the content aspect, the display aspect and the accuracy aspect of language use, the mean scores were 3.4, 3.8, and 3.4 respectively. Therefore, the overall instructional tools were in a very good category.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of green education-based comic media on understanding the concept of elementary school students in West Nusa Tenggara. This study is a quasi-experimental study using a 2 x 2 factorial design. Two sample schools from Central Lombok and North Lombok district were taken randomly with a total of 85 students from grades IV and V. The experimental class was given treatment by using green education-based comic media, while the control class used conventional methods. Data on understanding students’ concepts was collected through test instruments and then analyzed by using the One Way Anova test with the help of SPSS Version 21 software for Windows. The results showed that (1) the conceptual understanding of students in the experimental class is higher than the control class (p = 0.001 <0.05), and (2) there is no difference in conceptual understanding of students for grade IV and grade V (p = 0.055> 0.05). It can be concluded that the implementation of green education-based comic media can improve the understanding of students’ concepts and can be used for all levels of the class, especially high classes at the elementary school level.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the implementation of local primacy-based comic media on students’ conservation attitudes. This research was a quasi-experimental that adopted and modified separate sample pretest-postest designs. Two experimental schools, namely SDN 1 Gili Indah and SDN Teratak, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia were taken randomly with a total of 52 students. Data on student conservation attitudes was collected through questionnaires. The data were converted into percentages then analyzed using the paired and independent sample t-test. The results of this research showed that the implementation of local primacy-based comic media can increase students’conservation attitudes (p<0.05) and there was no difference students’conservation attitudes of the two observation schools (p>0.05).
<span lang="EN-US">This study explored and revealed the demographic factors that influence students' environmental knowledge (EK) in Indonesia. This survey research involved 1,345 students from 15 universities across Indonesia. The research employed a validated questionnaire on EK and was modified to match the circumstances in Indonesia. The instrument consisted of six statements with five scales namely 1=strongly disagree, 2=disagree, 3=indifferent, 4=agree, and 5=strongly agree. Five demographic variables were tested together to determine their effect on students' EK. Descriptive analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple linear regression were used to test the independent variables. The result of the study revealed that gender, study program, grade point average (GPA), and parents’ occupation variable have an effect simultaneously on students' EK (p<.05) with a contribution of 6.2% (R square=.062), while the students’ grade variable has no effect on EK (p>.05). Female students have better EK than male students (p<.05). The trend showed that the higher the GPA, the higher the EK of the student (p<.05). Hence, the trend showed that students whose parents have lower income tend to have better EK than those whose parents have higher income. Students in science education and computer course have better EK than science, non-science education, and social humanities study programs. This study implicated the importance of introducing environmental insights through education to increase students' EK in higher education.</span>
This research is a research on the development of ebook-based teaching materials for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subjects for grade VII MTs students. Hidayatussibyan NW Sangkerang. The purpose of this study is to help students provide eBook- based teaching materials that are relevant, practical and easy to use for students. This development research method carried out 5 stages of testing, namely: 1) Content Test, 2) Media Test, 3) Design Test, 4) Small Group Test, and 5) Field Test. Based on the results of data analysis, the development of teaching materials based on ICT Subjects for Class VIII uses the Dick & Carey development model whose development process only reaches the ninth stage of development. The results of data analysis concluded that the Development of eBook-Based Teaching Materials for ICT subjects using offline multimedia had a Good (Eligible) qualification. Metode penelitian pengembangan ini melakukan 5 tahapan uji coba, yaitu: 1) Uji Isi, 2) Uji Media, 3) Uji Desain, 4) Uji Kelompok Kecil, dan 5) Uji Lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis eBook Mata Pelajaran TIK Kelas VIII ini menggunakan model pengembangan Dick & Carey yang proses pengembangannya hanya sampai pada tahap kesembilan tahap pengembangan. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis eBook Mata pelajaran TIK menggunakan multimedia offline memiliki kualifikasi Baik (Layak).
