Background: Negative pressure wound therapy in the form of vacuum assisted closure is known to be a useful adjunct in wound healing. It can downstage surgical reconstruction options from large flaps to simpler skin grafts or secondary wound closure. Objective: To compare mean duration of wound healing between conventional dressings and negative pressure wound therapy for management of wounds. Study Design: Randomized Controlled Trial.
