This study was carried out to investigate the immune status of heart disease patients infected with toxoplasmosis. One hundred fifty samples of both heart disease patients and controls which had been tested by ELISA technique to detect anti-Toxoplasma Abs (IgG and IgM). The positive and negative toxoplasmosis samples were tested to detect the level of IL-12, IL-23 and TGF β-3. Results showed there one samples clarified that seropositive for IgM antibodies while 64 (64%) heart disease patients were seropositive for IgG antibodies and for toxoplasmosis only patients were 20 (40%) and 30 healthy as a (controls) were seronegative for IgG antibodies with significant differences (P< 0.05). Serum level of IL-12 was recorded an increase in a group of heart disease patient with toxoplasmosis (275.4 ±42.3 pg/ml) with highly differences of significant (P < 0.05) also IL-23 level was increased in a group of heart disease patient only (80.3 ±42.3 pg/ml) with no significant differences .TGF β-3 levels was highly in heart disease patient with toxoplasmosis (381.8 ±44.0 pg/ml) with significant differences at (P< 0.05).
In this study the rate of infection in acute and chronic Toxoplasma gondii parasite that causes toxoplasmosis was determined. This study was Included 120 blood samples that collected from pregnant women revisions to some clinics and laboratories in Baghdad civil as well as 10 blood samples from non-infected women as a control group. All blood samples were collected in the first three months of the pregnancy period for detection toxoplasmosis by using serological tests of test kit ( Toxo , IgG.,Toxo , IgM ). To detect antibodies specialized type of IgG &IgM in acute and the chronic infection by Electro Clia manner using a Roche Cobas e411. The results showed that the total infection rate was (55.83)%, the rate of infection in acute (17.5)% While the rate of chronic infection was (38.33)%. As the results of the study showed that rate of acute infection of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women was significant decrease occurs when the level of probability of < 0.05 in glucose sugar levels, and a decrease in the level of hemoglobin and red blood cells, platelets and the high number of white blood cells when compared with the control group .
In this current work, hyaluronic acid (HA)/carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCTs) blend, embedded with definite amount of gold nanoparticles AuNPs , are utilized to mitigate diabetic parameters in experimental model of diabetes in rats. AuNPs was produced thru Microwave radiation technique, followed by characterization using state of art analysis; UV and TEM. Afterward, 50 "male albino rats" were divided into two main groups: Group one "n=10 rats" fed on the healthy diet (-ve control). The 2 nd group fed on the high fructose diet (HFD) for 4 weeks to induce diabetes. To this end, the 2 nd group, is further divided into four sub-groups. The 1 st one (G2) received only HFD (+ve control), 2 nd ,3 rd and 4 th subgroups (G3, G4 and G5) received orally; mixture of both HA and CMCTS in different ratios (1:3; 1:1; 3:1 respectively) embedded all with AuNPs (0.01M), in a dose of 2 mg/kg body weight /day for 4 weeks. In addition, the effect of polymers blends with AuNPs on Streptococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli and Aspergillus fumigatus was also evaluated. All treated groups (G3, G4, G5) decreased diabetic biomarkers Fasting blood sugar (FBS), fasting insulin, glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1C), "Homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR)" index; "homeostasis model assessment of βcell function (HOMA-β)" compared with the +ve control. Moreover, the mixture of HA/CMCTS (1:3) adorned AuNPs was more potent than the other used ratios from the polymer combination, in attenuation of diabetic intricacy, however, the antimicrobial activity for all mixture was effective but almost the same. Furthermore, all treated subgroups disclosed normal histopathological pancreatic cell structures.
