Penelitian ini akan mengkaji teknik dan kualitas terjemahan konjungsi “namun” “dan” mahasiswa pada mata kuliah sosial budaya. Peneliti melakukan pengamatan pada terjemahan teks sosial budaya mahasiswa progam studi D3 Bahasa Mandarin Unsoed peserta mata kuliah terjemahan sosial budaya, lalu melakukan analisis terhadap teknik dan kualitas terjemahan yang muncul, serta menyebar kuisioner untuk mendapatkan saran dalam melakukan perbaikan terhadap sistem pengajaran khususnya terjemahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan didominasi oleh ambiguitas makna yang disebabkan kesalahan pemilihan kata konjungsi dan teknik yang digunakan belum sepenuhnya tepat. Hal ini terjadi karena salah satu faktor yaitu kurangnya komptensi mahasiswa terutama dalam menguasai kata dan konteks penggunaan terutama kata konjungsiThis study will examine the technique and quality of translation of the conjunctions "but" "and" students in socio-cultural courses. The researcher made observations on the translation of socio-cultural texts for students of the diploma Mandarin Unsoed study program, participants in the socio-cultural translation course, then analyzed the techniques and quality of the translations that emerged, and distributed questionnaires to get suggestions for improvements to the teaching system, especially translation. The results showed that the error was dominated by ambiguity of meaning caused by incorrect choice of conjunctions and the technique used was not entirely correct. This happens because of one of the factors, namely the lack of student competence, especially in mastering words and contexts of use, especially conjunctions
