A calibration of the well-defined Braunbek coil system was carried out using the scalar method. The whole measuring setup was designed to minimize the uncertainty of the scalar calibration procedure. The measurement time as well as the sampling ratio were adjusted to reduce the influence of the ambient magnetic field variation. We calibrated the coil sensitivity with the uncertainty of 30 ppm and orthogonality with the uncertainty <0.01°. The results were compared with a different technique.
A method is presented which allows a system available for the measurement of the dynamic electromagnetic properties of magnetic stripes to be extended in such a way that the stripes' static properties can be determined from the remanent magnetization curve. The results of some check measurements show good correlation with the results of static measurement methods so far applied. The advantages and prerequisites, as well as the steps to be taken and the hardware required for the set-up will be described and the measurement sequence explained.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
