This study aimed at finding an effective leadership strategy carried out by one-roof school principals in remote areas. This study was conducted qualitatively with a multi-site approach. The data were obtained from the school principals as key informants and focus group discussion (FGD) involving all school principals, Indonesian Institute of Education Innovation Training and Consultant (LPKIPI), education staff, school supervisors, and stakeholders as the participants and resource persons. Findings suggested that (a) the problems encountered by one-roof school principals in the remote areas were significantly related to culture, economy, demography, geography, and historical aspects, (b) the characteristics of success of school principals in remote areas include a clear vision, high-spirit performance, andhab asor (low profile), active involvement in various social activities, strong motivation for continuous learning, open to feedback, having commitment to cooperate with various parties, having a high awareness that school is an educational system and the essential part from the social system in general, persistent, high confidence that they are not alone in carrying out school policies, creative, able to see the context in various perspectives, patient, polite, warm, and smart or attractive, (c) “Gethok Tular1” is the most effective leadership strategy to strengthen the role of multi-stakeholder forum (MSF), and (d) the involvement of MSF members needs to be done selectively and effectively through the identification of TKU, intensive communication with TKU, identification of other figures, discussions, and sharing roles and strengthening MSF on an ongoing basis.
This study aims to uncover and describe the transformation of the meaning of learning at the millennial generation mindset. The research approach used is a qualitative research method through a naturalistic phenomenological design. The research subjects consisted of 80 students at the State University which consisted of 3 groups of students from 7 faculties whose average age was 19-24 years: 1) active in student organizations (Ormawa), 2) active in Student Activity Units (UKM) ), and 3) students who are not active at all only attend lecture activities. The data comes from the results of interviews and observations that are analyzed through the stages of synthesis and selection of data, data display, data verification and conclusion, then tested its reliability through cross-checking data sources, comparison of results of literature review, extension of research time, academic feasibility audits through experts, and confirmation to the data source about the accuracy of the meaning of information. The results of this study provide an understanding that there is a transformation of the meaning of learning in the mindset of the millennial generation which is based on changes in students' self as learners and the learning transformation environment in higher education that can support changes in learning outcomes. Changes in students' self as learners in the form of: 1) Self Change, Self Experience, Creativity, motivation, orientation, maturation. A learning transformation environment in higher education that can support changes in learning outcomes, in the form of: 1) Innovation, 2) technology-based, 3) creative and 4) positive condition
This study aims to describe learning problems related to efforts to increase creativity and independence of student learning. The learning innovation developed is a model of transformative learning based on the principle of learning transfer, which positions the lecturer as a learning facilitator and students as the subject of learning. The method used is research and development (R & D). The results of this study conclude that transformative learning based on transfer of learning can create the flexibility of students to actualize and express in learning so as to produce creativity and independence of learning.
Of the 26 supervision techniques, the most widely used in Indonesia are teachers' meetings, trainings, peer discussions, seminars, and upgrading programs, while in the Philippines they are seminars, lesson study, self-evaluation, peer discussions, and teacher's meetings. On the other hand, there is a significant influence on the use of techniques, principles, and instructional supervision approaches on the variations of teacher learning models. The principle of instructional supervision has the most dominant effect on the variations of teacher learning models and materials.
Currently, the world of education is entering a disruptive era. Digital-based educational technology. Especially in the distance education model. The technology used is relatively unsophisticated. This study aims to: (1) develop Disruptive Innovation learning media with Augmented Reality with the concept of 3D objects in the form of a Drill Machine; (2) testing the attractiveness of Disruptive Innovation Learning media with Augmented Reality with a 3D Object Concept in the form of a Drill Machine; and (3) testing the effectiveness level of the product being developed. The method used is research and development (R&D), followed by quasi-experimentation to test its effectiveness. Validation consists of two teams of experts, namely e-learning media experts and vocational education material experts. The findings in this study include augmented reality technology based on 3D objects in the form of a drill machine that was developed has a high level of attractiveness and completeness of vocational material. The object-based 3D augmented reality technology in the form of a drill machine that was developed was proven to be able to improve the understanding skills of vocational students in the education era 4.0.
