The USA policy towards Iraq 1963-1968,is one of the significant topics that has been given special attention by researchers, especially the America’s role in bringing the Baathists to power in Iraq and recognizing them.Another issue that has been taken care of by America is how to strengthen its political, cultural, and economic ties, especially its oil relations with Iraq. Because of Iraq was one of main forces in the Middle East during the Cold War, Therefore, it has become an important site to American interest .On the other hand, there were some external factors that had a negative impact on the US foreign policy towards Iraq during this period. Among those factors, the Arab-Israel and the problem of western oil partners that were operating in Iraq at that time. However during existing these issues, the cultural and economic relations between USA and Iraq was still remain.
Sports and national identity are extensively known to have a considerable relationship with each other. The link between Sports, nationalism and national identity is one of the most questionable cases in the modern world. Many scholars have discussed the usage of sports, as a tool for increasing national feelings, nation building, growth of the nation state or assisting cultural power. For instance, there has been an increase in maintaining the culture and ethnic variety amongst the population of England, along with other growing nations, which have been influenced less by sports and have varied identities through their literature and music. Thus, it is clear that in the present time, the connection between sports and national individuality has decreased. However, during the late nineteenth century and until the mid-1990s, the two played a significant role among nations. The aim of this essay is to evaluate the most important aspects in the relationship between sports and national identity, which have been discussed by many sport historians and contemporary scholars. Colonialism is a practice of control, which contains the defeat of one person to another. One of the main complications in defining colonialism is that it is difficult to separate it from colonialism. Nowadays these two concepts are described as synonyms. Colonialism also includes political and economic control over a dependent land. Over the past two centuries, many scholars have discussed colonial expansion. Some historians have presented some theories about colonial causes which are still the most popular theories, The purpose of this research is to examine the most significant reasons for colonialisms which are mentioned by historians and contemporary researchers. This research consists of an Introduction, four sections and a conclusion. In the first section economic factor of colonialism has been discussed. For instance, economic terms; will focus on some theories which are mostly written by Marxist theorists. These theories discuss having much funding in great countries and seeking investment and looking for raw material as well. While the second section has studied the political and national factors of colonial expansions. This means political and national causes have been discussed with particularly concentrating on the British Empire. The third section cultural role has been debated by providing some examples. This section. Investigated of cultural motivation of colonialism. Cultural terms have examined religious aims which were driven by missionaries to spread Christianity. As well as, westernization goals other points will be discussed about Europeans who attempted to impose their lifestyle on colonial people. Finally, in the last section, racial causes which focus on Social Darwinism and impacts on racial motivation is another major factor that encouraged European people to consider that, their race and nation was over of other races in the world. The method of this research has depended on description and interpretation method.
In the last few years the relations btewen usa and the middle eastern countries,particulary with iraq in the period of the cold war.is one of the crucial topic among schooalars after iraq 2003 librartion.in general the relationship between usa and iraq 1968-1979 was not stable.howevr it can be showred that at that time iraq counted as the soviet union alliance.it can be noied that, the cultural relations between usa-iraq in the period 1968-1979 was limited.althought those relations were benifitial,particulary for devebeloping iraqi clture.the usa press attitude,usa higher education inistituin and the usa excavation temas in iraq were the most fameous cultural relations between iraq and usa.
