Made the purpose of this study is to examine to see disabled athletes according to the dimensions of the scale of motivation in sport. The study group is comprised of 168 visually impaired athletes in total, including 51 females and 117 males, identified by the targeted sampling method, between the ages of 15-25, who do sports at elite level. The Sport Motivation Scale (SMS) was developed by Pelletier (1995) basing on the Theory of Self Determination by Deci and Ryan (1985). The purpose of SMS is to determine the level of "internal motivation, external motivation and nonmotivation" of the person in the sports environment and to identify the source of motivation of the person (Kazak, 2004). Validity and reliability of the scale for Turkish athletes was studied by Kazak (2004). In conclusion, this study has demonstrated that to know and succeed and to experience stimuli and identification subdimensions are effective in sports attendance of visually impaired athletes engaged in sports at elite level. Moreover, it has been demonstrated that age, education level and sports branch variables have an impact on tendency for sports. It can be concluded that compared to older athletes, younger athletes have low tendency for sports because of anxiety and embarrassment and are not conscious about why they do sports. It has been concluded that athletes of weight lifting and judo, which have contribution to physical development at the top level, believe the nature of their sports branch contributes more to their physical development and their strength is acknowledged and appreciated by other people.
The purpose of this study is to examine the contribution of sport to obese youth duringsocialization, considering the socio-cultural and economic characteristics of obese adolescents. In the study participated 118 obese children members of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Family Life and Youth Centers who played sports or participated in sport activities in the 15-18 age range. As a data collection tool, the socialization scale consisting of 69 questions developed by Sahan (2007) was used. A computer-aided data analysis program was used in the research data. Frequency analysis was applied first and tables were made during the analysis of the data. The percentages of the variables in the sample were determined, and the characteristics of the sample were evaluated generally in these tables. Analysis procedures were applied according to hypotheses later. The data were evaluated by the Scheffe test, the Mann Whitney U test and the Kruskal-Wallis Nonparametric test. As a result of the research; it was found that there was no significant difference between the levels of socialization of obese youth according to the age variable and there was a significant difference between sexes, household income levels and the sports and socialization levels of obese youth who are interested and who are uninterested in sport. At the end of the research, it was observed that male obese teenagers had higher levels of socialization than female obese teenagers in terms of high income level and interest in sport.
The aim of this study is to determine the place and scope of sports in metropolitan municipality services in Turkey. It is to identify the shortcomings of an institution that produces services of this size in the local area in terms of sports management and to make recommendations to address these deficiencies, to shed light on the implementation of sports services that are considered to be missing in local authorities by creating a standard service policy. In this study, the services provided by thirty metropolitan municipalities were obtained from the websites of the municipalities, by mail and petition. The findings were collected in accordance with the document analysis method. The results were interpreted by comparison method. According to the findings, local government departments have not been able to extend sports services too much from their web pages. In addition, data on sports services could not be reached in most of the metropolitan municipalities. It was observed that only five of the unit managers working in the units providing sports services received sports training. It has been observed that sports services operate under different departments in twelve metropolitan municipalities. It has been observed that most of the sports facilities and open spaces are insufficient. It is observed that there are also deficiencies in creating employment in sports and not hiring enough trainers. It has been observed that the number of athletes and the capacities of the sports branches in which they are active are low. It has been concluded that metropolitan municipalities also develop their web and online systems in sports / recreation areas in a way that will help the qualifications of the cities and provide better service to the public.
