Abstract. Argumentative study of extremist religious discourse. The article aims to study the rhetorical strategies that make the daechian speech persuasive in the eyes of some young French, by analyzing the number 7 of their magazine Dar Al Islam. First, we present the audience to whom the Danehian speech is addressed: which doxa this audience shares with the enunciator? Similarly, we analyze the important role pathos plays in the process of persuading the audience. Next, we show the use that Daechians make of the argument of authority, including the authority cited: how much do they use the selection, the reformulation and the interpretation strategies by quoting verses from the Qur'an and Hadiths? Finally, we study the analogy argument used by Daechians to justify their terrorist acts.
