Humans are creatures that grow and develop, one of the stages of growth and development in adolescence. Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood, usually from the age of 10-19 years. Objectives To identify dysmenorrhea pain before and after being given the muscle energy technique and to analyze the effectiveness of abdominal stretching and muscle energy technique on dysmenorrhea pain. This research is an experimental quantitative research using a pre-experimental design with Two Group Pre Test And Post Test Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The samples in this study that met the criteria were all of the total population, as many as 70 respondents. In this study, the sampling used was purposive sampling. The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) Ha accepted, meaning that there was an effect of abdominal stretching on the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain. In the muscle energy technique, it was found that the statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.564 (> 0.05). Ho was rejected, meaning that there was no effect of the muscle energy technique on the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain. It can be concluded that abdominal stretching is more effective in reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain than the muscle energy technique
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
