Saran agar agar mendapatkan bobot akhir, bobot karkas yang maksimal, dan efisiensi pakan yang tinggi maka, sebaiknya menggunakan kandang kelompok (group cages) dengan pengisian 2 ekor per ukuran 1200 cm 2 .Kata kunci : Ayam, single dan group cages, bobot akhir, karkas, lemak abdominal, efisiensi pakan ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to find out the effect of single and group cages on final weight, carcass, abdominal fat content, and feed efficiency in male arab chickens. The material used were 50 male arab chickens 60 days old with average initial body weight of 743.8 ± 67.28 g, which placed in battery cage (40 x 30 x 30 cm/cage). The research method was experimental using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment were 1 single cage (P1: 1 chicken/cage), 3 types of group cage (P2: 2 chickens/cage, P3: 3 chickens/cage, P4: 4 chickens/cage). The variables observed in this research is the final weight, carcass, abdominal fat, and feed efficiency. All the data were analyzed using analysis of variance with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) One Way ANOVA. If there is a significant difference between the treatments then followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results of this research showed the effect of single and group cage were no significant different (P>0.05) on
