Cerebral palsy (CP) is a permanent disorder of posture and movement resulting from brain damage occurring in the baby or young child. Cerebral palsy is a term used to describe a collection of disorders caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the brain that occurs around the time of birth or early in life. This study aimed to evaluate the intervention program for mothers regarding dependency level of their children with CP. Setting the current data was Neurology outpatient clinic at pediatric hospital Ain Shams University. Sample, The study was conducted on one hundred and twenty four mothers who have been selected for the program pre, post, and after 3 month later. Tools: Two tools for data collection, tool (I) An interviewing questionnaire sheet (II) Child"s activities of daily living assessment. Results of this study showed that the main age of mothers was 37.6 ± 0.6 years and noticeable improvement in the mothers" knowledge and practice and dependency level of their children were detected after implementation of intervention program compared to pre and 3 month after program implementation. So, this study concluded that intervention program affected positively regarding caring of mothers regarding dependency level of their children with cerebral palsywhich indicate justification of the study hypotheses. this study recommended that Educational sessions should be provided for mothers of cerebral palsy children about care of their children, as well as, community resources from whom they may seek assistance and support to fulfill with all dependency level of their CP child.

Domestic violence is a common public health problem that affects the health and well-being of women all over the world. Aim: this study aimed to assess the effects of domestic violence on women's health in Sohage City through physical, emotional, controlling behaviour and sexual abuse. Assess risk factors that are expected to occur domestic violence against women in Sohage City. Design : A descriptive analytic study was used. Sample : A purposive sample of 480 married women. Setting: The study carried out at Dar Salama Abdulla and Akhmim maternal and Child Health Center in Sohage City. Tools : two tools were used for data collection. The first tool was Interviews questionnaire sheet to assess risk factors related to domestic violence against women, the second tool was violence Scale uses to identify domestic violence against women. Results: results of this study indicated that some common risk factors that are significantly associated with occurrence of domestic violence against women such spousal characteristic, societal risk factor and family relation risk factor. Emotional violence the higher prevalent types of domestic violence against women 79.6% followed by controlling behavior71%, sexual58.30% and physical violence 41.3%. Conclusion: the study concluded that nearly half of them had age range from 20-30years; more than half of them were lived in rural area. The majority of them were unsatisfactory knowledge about domestic violence. Emotional violence is the most common prevalent type and. Psychological effect is the most common result from domestic violence on women health. Recommendations: the study recommended that to provide health educational sessions for women and men about domestic violence and Routine screening of all women for domestic violence should be part of the health history, also provided adequate emergency treatment with rehabilitative measures.
Background: Osteoporosis is a growing health problem in developing countries, especially in the Middle East. It causes a significant personal and societal impact and increases the burden on health care services. Aim of the Study: assess health beliefs, knowledge and practices of adolescent girls regarding osteoporosis. Subjects and Methods: Study design: descriptive design was utilized in this study. Setting: The study was conducted at schools of Mrs. Aisha, Secondary Girls Alqadima (Mohamed Gaber Qusla) and Secondary Girls Alhaditha in Beni-Suef city. Size: the sample composed of 130 adolescent girls chosen randomly through multistage sampling. Tools: Two tools were used in the study including: First tool: interviewing Questionnaire that assesses socio-demographic data, knowledge and reported practices regarding osteoporosis. Second tool: Osteoporosis Health Belief model Scale to assess beliefs of adolescence girls about osteoporosis. Results: the current study clarified that minority of the adolescent girls had satisfactory knowledge about disease and only 26.2% of the adolescent girls had adequate practice regarding the disease. As regards health beliefs the current study depicts that, more than half of the girls had negative beliefs regarding the disease. The current study represents that, there was highly significant positive correlation between total adolescent girls' knowledge about osteoporosis and their practices. Conclusions: Adolescent girls in the current study had lacked appropriate knowledge and practices regarding osteoporosis. Recommendation: Conducting and disseminating educational programs at various settings to reach all female's age group to increase their knowledge and practices regarding osteoporosis. Further researches in the area of contributing factors of osteoporosis among young adults to improve understanding and management.
