Solar still is one of the most promising technology to convert available brackish or saline water into drinkable water. It is not widely used due to its lower distillate output from it. Passive and active are main two types of solar still. Distillate output of passive solar still is lower compared with active solar still. Hence, for increment in distillate output from the solar still, then active solar still is only a viable option. Present review paper shows the various techniques available in active solar still for increment in distillate output.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
