The study aimed at evaluating the effect of supplementing concentrate containing fermented corncob (TTJF) and Zn bio-complex on kacang goat performance. There were 12 kacang does 6-8 months of age with 9,3-15,5 averanging 11,20 kg and CV 13,30%. initial body weight used in the study. Completely randomized design 4 treatment diets offered were: R0 : concentrate feed without fermented corncob + 2,06g Zn bi-complex, R1 : concentrate feed containing TTJF 10% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g; R2 : concentrate feed containing TTJF 20% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g and R3: concentrate feed containing TTJF 30% + Zn-Biokomplex 2,06g. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results of all variables measured were : R0 daily body weight gain (52.21g), R1 (66.16g), R2 (46.17g), R3 (42.09g), daily body length gain: R0 (0.17cm), R1 (0.20cm), R2 (0.18cm), R3 (0.14cm), daily girth cycle gain R0 (0.22cm), R1 (0.27cm), R2 (0.23cm), R3 (0.19cm) and daily body height R0 (0.15cm), R1 (0.18cm), R2 (0.15cm), R3 (0.13cm). Statistical analysis shows that the effect of supplementing containing fermented corncob concentrate with Zn bio-complex is not significant (P>0.05) on all performance variables measured. The conclusion is that supplementing containing fermented corncob concentrate up to 30% with Zn bio-complex performs the relative results in kacang does growth performances. The aim of this study was to acknowledge the change in the nutrient content of fermented feather flour use a mixture of yeast tape and yeast bread. Feather flour used is a waste broiler feather flour obtained from the Oesao Presidential Market, Kupang Regency. Trial method used was a direct methods and fermented result through proximate analysis would be compared with before fermented. The design used was complete randomized design with 2 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment tested were R0: Broiler feather flour without fermented and R1: fermented broiler feather flour used yeast tape and yeast bread. Variable observed were the change in nutrient content in form of dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and material extract without nitrogen feather meal after fermented. Statistical analysis showed significant result (P<0.05) on variables and fermented used yeast tape and yeast bread could increase crude protein and crude fat with could reduce content of crude fiber, carbohydrates and material extract without nitrogen feather meal. The conclusion of this study was yeast tape and yeast bread could increase the nutrients in feather flour that could be used as indgredients mixed diet.
One form of empowering farmers is providing continuous and contextual training. In its implementation, the training must be truly based on the needs of the farmers themselves. This is in line with the "bottom up" approach in community development. This Community Service Activity was held to help pig farmers in Wae Lolos Village, West Manggarai, in determining their own type and priority of training that needs to be carried out according to the farmers' conditions. This community service activity was arranged using the 'brainstorming' method, in which the participant was set up in small group discussions. The strategies taken were determined based on the SWOT analysis, then each strategy was distributed into training categories. Based on the discussions and analyzes that have been carried out with the farmers, the number of training matters has been determined, the first priority being training in the socio-economic field; second, feed and nutrition; third, production; and fourth, health sector. In addition to these four scopes, the results of this Community Service activity also recommend the importance of improving and redesigning the institutional aspects of animal husbandry at the community level in Wae Lolos Village
AbstrakKelompok tani Sekolah Tinggi Pertanian Flores Bajawa (STIPERFB) melaksanakan program pemerintah yaitu Tanam Jagung PanenSapi (TJPS) dengan melakukan beberapa proses produksi yaitu:penyiapan benih, persiapan lahan, penanaman, perawatan danpemeliharaan, yang terdiri dari pemupukan, penyiangan serta panendan pasca panen. Permasalahan besar yang dihadapi petani adalahgagal panen, keadaan ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranyaadalah hama dan penyakit yang menyerang tanaman jagung sertacurah hujan yang tinggi. Tujuan mengidentifikasi gagal panen padausaha tani, mengidentifikasi solusi pemecahan masalah penyebab gagalpanen jagung. The purpose of this study is to determine areas in Manggarai that have potential in pig development. The method used in this study is secondary data observation of Manggarai Regency and will be analyzed using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. The results showed that the areas that received LQ 1 scores were Satar Mese, West Satar Mese, Wae Ri'i, Cibal and West Reok districts. This means that the region has not been able to meet the needs of its own territory and is still importing from other regions. While the sub-districts that received LQ 1 scores were North Satar Mese, Langke rembong, Ruteng, Lelak, North Rahong, West Cibal and Reok. This means that the pig farming sector is able to meet the needs of its own region and is also able to export outside the region. Manggarai District, North Satar Mese, Langke Rembong, Ruteng, Lelak, North Rahong, West Cibal and Reok are districts with superior communities in the form of livestock
