Our study shows that Entonox is a safe, rapidly acting and effective form of analgesia for the pain of prostate biopsy. We believe that it should be the analgesia of choice for this procedure.

Melatonin profiles were studied in five males with cytogenetic and clinical features of the fragile-X syndrome including megalo-orchidia and macrogenitosomia. In comparison with age-matched normal controls, the fragile-X group showed lower melatonin values and a significant impairment of the nocturnal rise in this hormone. Melatonin deficiency may thus be responsible for some of the phenotypic features of this disorder.

We have been performing laparoscopic prostate-sparing radical cystectomy for more than 2 years and have found it oncologically safe and reproducible with promising functional benefits. It presents a good option for properly selected patients.
