Based Biology Learning Media to Improve the Students' Learning Outcomes Abstract This study aims to (1) produce computer-based learning media with quality to be suitable for biology learning for Grade XI of senior high schools for the topic of the human respiration system, (2) find out students' responses to the learning through the developed computer-based learning media, (3) find out students' learning outcomes after the use of the developed computer-based learning media. This was a research and development (R&D) study using the 4-D model. The product tryout was carried out by involving Grade XI students of SMA N 1 Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. The data were collected through a questionnaire, an observation sheet, a pretest, and a posttest. The result of the study is as follows. (1)
Subjek coba terdiri atas ahli materi, ahli media, teman sejawat, guru biologi, peserta didik sejumlah 102 peserta didik.
One of the obstacles to achieving learning objectives is the low motivation of student learning. This study aimed to determine the improvement of students learning motivation through mobile learning. This pre-experimental study consisted of 35 students of XIPA1 as a subject while the population is all the students of State Senior High School 1 of Banguntapan – Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection used questionnaires were given before and after learning. Data analysis used paired t-test and N-gain score to see the effectiveness of mobile learning in increasing students learning motivation. The results showed that by using the mobile learning had a significant effect on students' learning motivation with a significance value (α) of 0.00 <0.05 while the N-gain score was included in the medium category, which was 0.64. The conclusions from this study indicate that mobile learning can increase learning motivation.
This research aims to know the feasibility and effectivity of interactive biology learning media product of human reproduction system based on adobe flash and to know the influence of application of learning media developed to increase interest and conceptual understanding. This development research refers to the developmental step by Borg & Gall. The field trial subjects in the experimental and the control class consisted of 35 students science second grade 5 and 3 Kota Mungkid High School. Collecting data used questionnaires, interview guides, evaluation media product sheets, interest questionnaire sheets, and concept comprehension tests. Quantitative data analysis techniques used independent t-test. The results showed that the learning media viewed from media experts and material experts categorized good. The result of independent t-test significance value is <0,05 and interest learners have increased was categorized as medium, the early learning interest is 65.1 and the final learning interest is 83.7 in treatment class . So it can be concluded that the learning media used is feasible and effective for use in biology learning process to increase interest and conceptual understanding.
