Purpose
The development of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia is one of the national economic development priorities. SMEs have given benefits for society, especially in creating a fair income distribution and supporting economic growth. This paper aims to examine and analyze the impact of social capital and knowledge sharing on the sustainability strategy and performance of SME and to formulate policies about SMEs in the future.
Design/methodology/approach
This research was carried out in Riau Province, which is the closest province to Malaysia and Singapore. The authors collected data from 56 SMEs in trading and craft industries by using the purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed using partial least square technique.
Findings
The result of data analysis shows that social capital and knowledge sharing significantly affect the sustainability strategy of SMEs. Furthermore, sustainability strategy and knowledge sharing affects SME performance significantly, whereas social capital does not affect its performance.
Originality/value
A participatory approach (partial least square) was used, the location of the research was Riau Province, Indonesia and the participants in this study are the perpetrators of the micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises. This method and location have not been considered in earlier studies.
This research aims to figure out whether or not economy and technology are the reasons why digital piracy keeps going on. For this research, we use research conducted by Battacharje (2003) as the main reference. In this research, we examine economic and technological factors within 12 indicators, resulting that in average, most respondents agree that the reason why they keep doing digital piracy is its influence by economic and technology factors.
AbstrakPenelitian ini pertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh tekanan eksternal, ketidakpastian lingkungan, komitmen manajemen terhadap penerapan transparansi laporan keuangan pada Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam di Kota Pekanbaru dengan menggunakan variable religiusitas sebagai pemoderasi. Menggunakan teori stewardship dan toeri institusional untuk mengembangkan teori dan menginterpretasikan hasil riset. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah pengelola PTKI di kota Pekanbaru. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan pengumpulan data melalui survey kuesioner. Mengolah data melalui persamaan multiple regresi menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekanan eksternal serta ketidakpastian lingkungan tidak berpengaruh terhadap terciptanya transparansi laporan keuangan pada PTKI. Komitmen organisasi mempengaruhi terciptanya transparansi laporan keuangan pada PTKI. Dan religiusitas tidak mempengaruhi hubungan antara tekanan eksternal, ketidakpastian lingkungan, komitmen manajemen terhadap penerapan transparansi pelaporan keuangan.
Latar belakang: Daun kapuk randu (Ceiba pentandra (L.) Gaertn) merupakan tanaman yang banyak tumbuh di Kalimantan Tengah yang secara empiris digunakan sebagai penghambat pembentukan serta meluruhkan batu ginjal. Daun kapuk randu diketahui mengandung flavonoid yang mampu menghambat pembentukan dan meluruhkan batu ginjal.
Tujuan: Mengetahui kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun kapuk randu pada fraksi n-heksan, etil asetat dan metanol.
Metode: Metode desktiptif observasional dengan melihat hasil dari data kualitatif yaitu dengan uji reaksi warna dan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT) dan data kuantitatif yaitu dengan spektrofotometri Uv-Vis untuk melihat kadar total flavonoid.
Hasil: Hasil analisis kualitatif senyawa flavonoid dengan reaksi warna dan KLT menunjukkan positif mengandung senyawa flavonoid. Hasil analisis kuantitatif dengan spektrofotometri Uv-Vis didapatkan kadar total flavonoid untuk ekstrak etanol 96%, fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi metanol berturut-turut adalah sebesar 31,663 mg QE / g atau 3,1667%; 5,167 mg QE / g atau 0,5167%; 51,833 mg QE / g atau 5,1833%; dan 7,166 mg QE / g atau 0,7166%. Kadar flavonoid total tertinggi yaitu pada fraksi etil asetat.
Kesimpulan: Ekstrak daun kapuk randu dengan tingkatan fraksi mengandung senyawa flavonoid dengan kadar flavonoid total pada ekstrak etanol 96%, fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi metanol berturut-turut adalah sebesar 31,663 mg QE / g atau 3,1667%; 5,167 mg QE / g atau 0,5167%; 51,833 mg QE / g atau 5,1833%; dan 7,166 mg QE / g atau 0,7166%.

This research is a quantitative study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) as a test tool in knowing the effect of various internal and external factors. The approach used in this research is the Variance Based SEM approach. The result of this study is that Employee Performance have positive and significant impact to each of the variables used.
