A new C-3/C-3″-biflavanone named isochamaejasmin has been isolated from Stellera chamaejasme L. (Thymelaeaceae) and its structure has been elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods. Furthermore, the stereochemistry of some C-3/C-3″-biflavanones including isochamaejasmin was discussed.
Two new C-3/C-3″-biflavanones, neochamaejasmin A and B have been isolated from Stellera chamaejasme L. (Thymelaeaceae) and their structures have been elucidated on the basis of spectral data and some chemical evidence. Neochamaejasmin B is the first naturally occurring C-3/C-3″-biflavanone having the cis–trans geometry at the C-2/C-3 and C-2″/C-3″ positions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
