Several design guidelines are presented to reduce the variations of the single mode gain difference. and the emission wavelength above threshold current in quarter wavelength phase shifted DFB lasers.
A two-dimensional numerical simulation has been used to analyze for SPIR detectors.Simulation models are based on a current continuity equation, which accounts for carrier generation, recombination and drift-diffusion processes as functions of position and time.We investigate the transit time dispersion due to non-uniform electric field under the various read-out geometries and the variation of read-out voltage under the mismatch between drift velocity of photogenerated camers and scan velocity of incident signal. The results have been to provide the way of approach for optimization of device structures and operation conditions.
