View angle is the key optical parameter of LCD(liquid crystal display) module, In order to meet the visual experience of smart home products, it is necessary to study the view angle and brightness characteristics of LCD module. Firstly, this paper introduces the key components of LCD module, secondly, defining the concept of FWHM (full width at half maximum) view angle to facilitate data comparison, finally, the 6.95 Google module is used to test and analyze the traditional 4‐layer film stack, single prism stack, R‐prism stack and DBEF5+Down diffuser stack. The test results show that the view angle of 4‐layer film stack is the minimum about 25°, but brightness is the maximum, the view angle of DBEF5+Down diffuser stack is the maximum above 50°, but brightness is the minimum; as for the R‐prism stack, with the increase of prism radian, the view angle will increase, but the brightness will decrease, as for the single prism stack, the view angle of the module will rise, and the maximum increase will be in the direction consistent with the prism bump, but the brightness will decrease at the same time. Therefore, it is necessary to make a reasonable selection according to the customer’s specifications. The experimental data in this paper can play an important reference role in the design of view angle and brightness in smart home LCD module.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
