All holotypes of Platygastroidea housed in the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources were photographed and these images are now publicly available online, as are images of most species represented in this collection by paratypes alone.
Vietnam was not actually ascertained. However, the presence of P. tricolor in Vietnam was confi rmed by a specimen from Cuarao (Nghe An province) in the BMNH collection (M. Webb, pers. comm. 2016).The study of recent material in the collections of RBINS, UDCC and VNMN led to the discovery of two new species, which are here described and illustrated, and of a male specimen of P. vietnamica, allowing the description of the male genitalia of this species for the fi rst time, for which additional material also allows an update of the distribution. An identifi cation key to the Polydictya species from the Indochinese region is provided.

One new species of the genus Tautoneura, T. polymitusa sp. nov., is described, and T. tricolor Anufriev, 1969 and T. japonica (Dworakowska, 1972) are reported from Korea for the first time. Descriptions, illustrations and a key to the Korean Tautoneura species are provided.
Abstract. The clavatus group of Pyrops Spinola, 1839 is reviewed and redefined. The new combination Pyrops atroalbus (Distant, 1918) comb. nov. is proposed, as atroalbus is reinstated as a full species from status of subspecies of Pyrops watanabei (Matsumura, 1913). Pyrops nigripennis (Chou & Wang, 1985) and Pyrops clavatus mizunumai (Sato & Nagai, 1994) are proposed as junior synonyms of P. clavatus (Westwood, 1839). The Philippine species P. polillensis (Baker, 1925) is removed from the group and not attributed to any of the currently defined species groups. Hence, the clavatus group is restricted to continental Southeast Asia and Taiwan and contains three species: P. atroalbus comb. nov., P. clavatus and P. watanabei. A key to the species of the group and illustrations of the male genitalia are provided. The intraspecific colour variation in the group is discussed and illustrated. The genus Pyrops is removed from the subfamily Fulgorinae and not attributed to any of the currently defined subfamilies of Fulgoridae.
The first record of the genus Semia Matsumura (Cicadidae: Cicadinae, Cicadini) from Vietnam is presented. One new species, Semia spinosa
sp. n., is described from southern Vietnam. Photos of the adult, illustrations of the male genitalia, a distribution map and biological data are provided. A key to the species of Semia based on the male adults is also given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
