In ungrounded neutral system, ferroresonance arising from the interaction between the nonlinear characteristics of the electromagnetic potential transformer (PT) core with system capacitance takes place frequently. Under different system capacitance, ferroresonance of different frequency may occur: fundamental frequency ferroresonance, subbarmonic ferroresonance and harmonic ferroresonance. In this paper, we use mathematical models and analytic techniques to the study of this phenomenon. And experimental study in the laboratory verifies the precision of the result analyzed. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
